Welcome to Zeisler Cabin.
We hope you enjoy your stay and appreciate all of the natural beauty in the area. Most impressive is the waterfall which is approximately 80 ft. tall and consists of 5 separate tiers.
This cabin was built in the 1930’s by industrialist Charles G. Milburn, from the Columbus area, as a summer retreat for family and friends. Some of his friends were neighbors Fred and Bob Nichols who acquired the cabin property in the 1970’s. Our family was able to purchase the cabin and surrounding forest in 2018.
Many hours of hard physical work and ingenuity have transformed the original cabin into what you see now. Help from family, friends, and a paid labor worker who became a good friend. We couldn’t have completed all of this without them.
The cabin sits on a sandstone rock formation that is visible from the deck. The logs are American chestnut which is extinct due to chestnut blight in the beginning of the last century.
